| Green grass was everywhere, and the breeze was refreshing. Of course, there wouldn't have been a breeze if it weren't for the air conditioning system that was installed by the humans. Verit would meet them today, it would be the first time that he had ever met someone who was not a gaudi. Excitement found it's way into Verit's stride, as he ran through the wide open grassy space. However, flying would get him to his destination much faster; he halted, winded up, and leapt into the air. Like a motor, his wings rapidly flapped back and forth, they generated a humming sound amongst the sound of the light breeze. Verit darted forward, whistling like an arrow in the sky. He twisted and turned in the air, energy was overflowing inside of him, so much so that he almost forgot to hold onto his hat as he flew. A silhouette of a structure quickly faded into Verit's view, adding to Verit's excitement. The house slowly revealed features of itself as Verit got closer and closer. The house had a navy blue color, metallic look, over all nice design and a few broken windows- wait, broken windows?
That's not right.
Verit slowed down to a stop, and hovered in place before the house. An essence of eeriness and abandonment had planted itself inside of the house, and it had overflown out the windows. Verit hadn't remembered seeing any pictures of abandoned houses in his Bushlands almanac, but yet again that book was outdated... "Hello?" Verit called out. There was no reply. Verit was puzzled. He wondered about how this house's vacancy had come to be; maybe it had something to do with those broken windows? After all, they couldn't break themselves. No longer willing to deny himself the answer to this house's mystery, he place his bug like appendage onto the door handle, and began to turn it...

| [postbg=https://i.imgur.com/lg5E7Wb.png]|| I'll enclose my comments like this, aye? So, this is actually a fine introductory post! I approve wholeheartedly! I really have no negative feedback. ||
Isaac was in the house now, but it was already spoiled. Someone had been through it already, and they'd broken every single one of those little mugs he'd known were in here. Well, he'd also broken all the furniture and a few windows, plus toppled the refrigeration device and completely mauled the cupboards. And, sadly, this was only the state of the kitchen. Now, of courser it still had basically the same mass as it would have if nothing was broken, but it was like having the peas roll into your potatoes and the bread already placed in your soup. It's just not as good.
But there was a click at the door, with the handle being turned, and Isaac instantly smelled the buggy, can-of-worms and wet dog paired with an overpowering scent of fresh earth scent of Gaudi. They really did smell nice.
"Oh, come in, come in. I was just leaving anyhow." He walked to the door, swinging it open with probably excess gusto. "Good afternoon!"

| The door slammed on it's hinge, Verit was still. His appendage still suspended in the air from opening the door. He stared up at the tall mass that towered over him. It was a human- but with bronze skin? In that case he's a witch, at least that's what the Bushlands almanac described, "Human likeness, though the skin tends to be extremely white or extremely bronze."
A witch! Good Jack! Verit never figured he'd encounter a witch this quickly outside of the labyrinth- he looks intimidating. Should I draw my gun? No, he might be capable of smiting me with lightning! Good Jack! Verit's mind was in a frenzy, but he retained his dumbstruck appearance infront of the witch.

| || Another good post! One thing I'd point out here is that this is this is a "Good-sized post." It's actually my favorite size, easy to read and easy to reply to, but much less and it's a bit annoying. Too much more and it can be a novel and replying can be hard. Another thing is, your character didn't really do much this post- But you pulled it off! I've RP'd with people who had whole posts of their character just thinking, and they don't even say they didn't do anything, causing confusion. G'job!||
Isaac cocked his head at the Gaudi, who didn't seem to be saying anything. He could still smell it, though, so it wasn't gone. He removed his hand from the doorknob, letting his arm fall to his side. "Mm, cat got your tongue, Gaudi?" He knelt to more a bug's height, holding out a hand to shake the creature's spindly appendage. "I don't suspect you're mute, are you? That would be dreadfully depressing, really, to knock on a door and never be able to answer if they ask who it is." This simple thought process was characteristic of the deeply philosophical Witch.
"Either way, you may as well come inside. Too much fresh air is too much fresh air!" He stood, and for no reason at all besides hospitality in a home which was not his, he generated a chipped teacup and pot. He sniffed, and upended the teapot over the floor. Blood poured out onto the cobblestones. "My apologies, there's no telling what kind of things get mixed together in there." He waved it again, and it filled with lemonade. "Well, that's better." He filled a cup and set it on the floor for the buggy creature.

| ||Nice new avatar by the way || Blood is never a good sign. After this unnerving thought, Verit lowered his appendage and gradually slowed down his brain process to focus on the being who welcomed him into the house. "No... I'm not a mute." Verit quietly stated, leaving the witch's extended arm hanging in mid air. Verit could easily tell that the witch was not the owner of the place; who would leave their home in such a state of disrepair? Either he was scavenging, or worse. If he was just a scavenging perhaps there would be nothing to worry about, than again that cloak like combination of a robe and shawl does not help support that claim... ...Well, never judge a book by it's cover they say. Introduce yourself, and maybe we can take a look at this one's pages. "Er- sorry for coming out of nowhere, My name's Verit." He said, accepting the handshake he had previously rejected, "Interesting trick you've got there, making that tea 'n cutlery appear out of thin air, you're a witch I gather?" Underneath the polite exterior, Verit was wary. He had forgotten about the teacup over the fact that he was initiating a conversation with a witch. | |

| || Thanks, I made it myself :D Exemplary post, by the by. I especially like your ending it with a question, another thing that makes replying easier. ||
Isaac chuckled. "Drink, drink. The lemonade will get warm." He shook the buggy arm now, admiring the tiny hooks under the smooth shell. If he had to, he would compare Gaudi to cicada in many ways. "But yes, I am a Witch if you put stock in such standards. And, technically I didn't make them appear out of thin air. It's delayed displacement. I take something at one time, leaving vacancy that is filled why I presumably eject it later." He sipped from a gilt goblet he had fished out for himself, tarnished and filled with well water. Liquids especially, they never gave him what he wanted. He knew he had wine somewhere inside his magical stomach.
"But, before we even start conversation, I really do need to know- What is your name?" He paused for a moment. "I am Isaac the Glutton." There was the slightest hint of a pride in his title when he spoke it. "And it does seem an oddity for one of your kin to be out from the Labyrinith, too. What brings you up from there?" He sat down cross-legged on the floor.

| Funny, could've sworn I've already told him my name, Verit thought to himself. Pushing the thought aside, he introduced himself to Isaac. "Verit." He said, leaving the word to hang from his mouth. He cocked an eyebrow, seemingly staring into a void not directly in front of Isaac, but rather over his shoulder. "Yeah, Verit." He said again. He readjusted his face and continued his introduction, "My name's Verit, Verit the Gaudi" He proclaimed, similarly finding pride in his title as Isaac had beforehand, "As for what I'm doing outside the Labyrinth, I suppose you could say I'm a traveler of sorts, but I also know how to do other things." Those other things were gunsmithing, and sharpshooting. Verit took great pleasure in both of those activities, he even carried two guns in his bag, but he didn't wish to reveal that to Isaac. He had places to be, and he didn't want to stick around for too long. Might as well drink that lemonade while you've still got the chance.
Verit knelt down, picking up the cup of lemonade. He slurped it down his bug like mouth. The liquid's texture felt old; Verit could feel all of the micro-organisms that had inhabited it slide down his throat. The taste itself had withered away, like a man who was dying of old age. Nothing but the usual Labyrinth taste, it seems. After he had finished, he placed the cup back down onto the ground and stood up. "Actually, I was on my way to the human settlement just east of here." Verit said, "Er... what about you? Are you heading anywhere?"

| (( Sorry for not posting, but yesterday I had a migraine and the day before was just busy. ))
Isaac shook his head. "And then what, hmm? To what ends will you go?" he muttered more, incoherently, but then blinked dramatically and looked back at the Gaudi. "Verit, what a nice name. I once knew a bat named that..." It might have been a hedgehog, actually, but they are quite similar. "And, a traveler you say, but you know other things as well? What do you specialize it?" He paused, his brow creasing. "The human settlement isn't in another cave, is it? Moving from one of these caverns to another is treacherous by foot, it's why they have the teleportation network. Many are not connected to anything, and don't ask me how people got in those in the first place, but the fact of the matter is that moving to a cave is a lot harder than it sounds." He chuckled. "The island is almost more labyrinthine than our own labyrinth!" He grinned broadly, showing a mouth full of molars. "As for me, I have no place or destination. I go where my appetite leads, and seldom question it. Right now I am simply investigating a destroyed dwellingplace, and sharing hospitality in a home not mine!" He waved the teapot again, and it filled with a bubbling green liquid, which promptly dissolved its ceramic housing and the floor underneath. "Oh, well, I'm sure it would have tasted good while we could serve it," he said, staring at the gaping hole now in the tiling.

| Verit himself gaped a little bit over the corroded ceramic. After a briefly suprising moment, he closed his mouth and spoke. "I'm just a humble gunsmith, nothing more" Verit said, partially lying about the fact that was the only profession he practiced. For someone who looked fairly fit, it was strange to find out that Isaac made decisions based on his appetite. Verit thought about Isacc's statement concerning moving around the Island. True, it was not the safest place to travel, but he'd be disappointed not to see a thing or two after taking a look at those pictures in the almanac. And not just the almanac, but all of the other books he's ever read about the Island. He'd been staying in the Labyrinth for far too long to pass up the opportunity to sight-see. "True, the Island is treacherous, but I'd personally take any labyrinth than the Labyrinth you associate us Gaudi with" Verit stated, hoping that sounded as good as it did in his head, "You say you go where your appetite leads you; maybe I have an appetite for-" Verit paused, contemplating some of the words he could compare his appetite too, "Adventure." Verit decided upon, showing satisfaction on his face.
Wait a minute- if you're longing for food, why don't you just make it appear like you did with that tea...

"Gunsmith, you say? Have you created anything of noteworthy destruction?" Even Isaac liked to hear about about explosions every once in a while. "I once knew the man who first created what became the rocket launcher in this age. A lot smaller, about the size of your forearm, shot metal lumps. Positively hilarious." He chuckled, remembering the iron semi-sphere lodged in a probably expensive painting. "That was before I came here. We certainly have advanced a lot, haven't we?" He had never met another gunsmith besides that man and this one. From what he knew about the Surface governments, they were at one point in high demand. "You dislike your Labyrinth? Have you never heard the story of your own creation?" He paused, the memory of his first living creation coming to him, along with the tale of how Jenka the mother-witch to Misery had created many of the things on the Island. Isaac had never met either, but he had glimpsed Jenka's house once through a crack in a lone pillar. "And appetite for adventure? Well, that certainly trumps mine in a philosophical sense. Has that appetite been at all sated since you left?"

| ||Thinking maybe we should end this rp, I'm itching to start adding to the official story of Verit the gaudi|| Verit remembered reading about that same gunsmith Isaac was speaking of, what was his name again? Ta- Tu... Tetsuzou? Hard name to remember, but back in the day he was one of the best gunsmiths on the island. He published the same book Verit learned how to gunsmith from centuries later. "Destruction is not everything you know," Verit stated, starting the long process of explaining what gunsmithing was and meant to him, "A weapon of any kind needs to function well, for the user needs to entrust his skills and power into that weapon. That's why I specialize in small arms, they're compact and easy to handle. Unfortunately I don't have the strength necessary to operate heavy weapons, such as a rocket launcher, but that has only allowed me to perfect the art of light weaponry." Observing the shattered bits of furniture and other bits around him, Verit started to get an idea, "Allow me to demonstrate." Verit rummaged around the space, pulling out small pieces of rubble and other components and holding them in his hands. A glass chandelier hung above them, Verit hoped up and flapped his wings, hovering beside the chandelier. He pulled a single glass crystal out of the chandelier's frame. After gathering enough materials, Verit dropped down to the floor and placed his bag beside himself. He re-arranged and combined the materials, occasionally pulling out other components from his bag to fasten and lock everything together. In just under a minute, Verit had assembled a working handgun out of salvage. - STATIC GLASS AMPLIFIER:
STATIC GLASS AMPLIFIERA one handed energy based weapon made out of Bushlandish salvage. Something about that glass crystal gives this gun its electric properties. DAMAGELv 1: 2 Lv 2: 3 Lv 3: 4 RANGE (MEASURED IN TILES)Lv 1: 3 Lv 2: 6 Lv 3: 9 ELECTRIC DAMAGE OVER TIMELv 1: 2 Lv 2: 2 Lv 3: 4 (Damage is dealt over a period of 3 seconds)(Cannot deal damage over time against armored targets)-Can level up--Unlimited ammo--Fires one shot at a time--Deals electric damage--Deals x2 damage against energy and electric based defense--Deals half damage against armored defense- Despite being made from salvage, the gun looked as if it was factory made. Verit held the gun in his two bug like appendages, and marveled over his latest creation. "I don't think this is half bad if I say so myself." Verit said,"What do you think?"
